Ordering double glazed sealed units for jobs in Suffolk
Toughened panes in a unit carry a permanent BS EN 12150 mark. Ask if you need units labelled by window number so the installer can match each unit to its frame.
Overall thickness has to match the frame rebate. A 28mm unit will not go into a frame glazed for 24mm, so check before you order.

Building regulations in England
Under Approved Document K, glazing in critical locations (doors, and side panels within 300mm of a door, up to 1500mm above floor level; other glazing below 800mm) must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected. Toughened and laminated safety glass are classified to BS EN 12600. Replacing only the glass in an existing frame is generally treated as a repair rather than notifiable work.
We do not start manufacturing until you have approved the order acknowledgement. It repeats each size, colour and opening direction so you can check it against your survey.

Double glazed sealed units in Suffolk: common questions
Do you supply double glazed sealed units across all of Suffolk?
Yes, to sites and yards anywhere in Suffolk. Delivery is priced per order.
Which building regulations apply to jobs in Suffolk?
The rules for England apply. You can specify double glazed sealed units to suit, and the performance values are stated on your quote. Your installer or designer remains responsible for compliance and any notification.
How do I get trade prices for Suffolk?
Send your schedule through the quote form or by email, and apply for a trade account if you do not already have one.
How do I measure a sealed unit?
Measure the glass itself, width then height, with the beads removed. Also measure the overall thickness.
Why is my sealed unit misted?
The edge seal has failed and moisture has got between the panes. The unit needs replacing; the frame can usually stay.
