Double glazed sealed units for Newmarket jobs
Overall thickness has to match the frame rebate. A 28mm unit will not go into a frame glazed for 24mm, so check before you order.
Glass in critical locations, such as doors, side panels and low-level glazing, must break safely, be robust or be protected; in practice that usually means toughened or laminated glass. Mark those units on your schedule.
- Made to size in common thicknesses such as 24mm and 28mm
- Low-E coated inner pane and argon gas fill
- Aluminium or warm-edge spacer bars
- Spacer colours to match frames
Delivery to Newmarket
We deliver to sites and yards in Newmarket as part of our mainland delivery service. Delivery is priced on the quote, so you know the full cost before you place the order. Postcode districts include CB8.
Getting a price
Send your sizes as a schedule: one line per item with width, height, quantity and any options. A spreadsheet, a PDF or a clear photo of a handwritten list all work.
Open a trade account to order at trade prices. We ask for your business details and how you expect to order, and agree terms when the account is set up.
Measuring tip
Measure the glass, not the frame: remove the beads and measure the existing unit, or measure the rebate and deduct the glazing clearance. Give width first, then height, and the overall unit thickness.
Regulations for jobs in Newmarket
Under Approved Document K, glazing in critical locations (doors, and side panels within 300mm of a door, up to 1500mm above floor level; other glazing below 800mm) must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected. Toughened and laminated safety glass are classified to BS EN 12600. Replacing only the glass in an existing frame is generally treated as a repair rather than notifiable work.

Double glazed sealed units in Newmarket
Is there a minimum order for Newmarket?
There is no minimum number of items, but small orders may carry a delivery charge that makes it worth grouping jobs together.
Can I collect instead of having double glazed sealed units delivered to Newmarket?
Orders are delivered rather than collected. If collection would help on a particular job, ask and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Do you deliver double glazed sealed units to Newmarket?
Yes, Newmarket is within our delivery area. The charge and the date are confirmed when you order.
Why is my sealed unit misted?
The edge seal has failed and moisture has got between the panes. The unit needs replacing; the frame can usually stay.
