Flat rooflights for Seaham jobs
Rooflights in England should meet the limiting U-value for rooflights in Approved Document L. The glazing can be specified to suit where the job is, and the U-value is stated on your quote.
A flat rooflight should not be laid dead flat. Water needs to run off, so the upstand is built to a slight fall or the unit has one built in.
- Made to your upstand size
- Minimal or hidden aluminium frame
- Square and rectangular sizes
- Built-in fall or set on a sloped kerb for drainage
Delivery to Seaham
Deliveries to Seaham are booked once your order is in production. The charge is itemised on the quote and the delivery day is confirmed with you in advance. Postcode districts include SR7.
Getting a price
Send your sizes as a schedule: one line per item with width, height, quantity and any options. A spreadsheet, a PDF or a clear photo of a handwritten list all work.
Open a trade account to order at trade prices. We ask for your business details and how you expect to order, and agree terms when the account is set up.
Regulations for jobs in Seaham
Replacement rooflights and roof lanterns in England should meet a U-value of 2.2 W/m²K under Approved Document L. A lantern in a new extension is covered by the extension's own building regulations approval. Replacing a glazed or polycarbonate conservatory roof with a solid roof usually takes the conservatory out of the exemption, so building control approval is normally needed.

Can I collect instead of having flat rooflights delivered to Seaham?
Collection is not normally offered, because orders are delivered to site or yard. Ask when you order and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Why does a flat rooflight need a fall?
So rainwater runs off instead of sitting on the glass. The upstand or the unit provides the slope.
