Window and door hardware for Reading jobs
Cylinders are measured from the centre fixing screw to each end. A cylinder that sticks out too far is a security weak point, so get the size right.
Keyed-alike cylinders let one key open several doors, which helps on rental properties and small commercial sites.
- Butt and flag hinges
- Window handles in key-locking and push-button styles
- Lever, pull and offset door handles
- Letterplates, knockers and spyholes

Measuring tip
Hardware is identified by measurements, not names. For cylinders measure from the centre screw to each end; for handles measure the spindle length and screw centres.
Reading is in England, so the building regulations for England apply. See the Berkshire page for a summary.
