uPVC tilt and turn windows for Lancaster jobs
Tilt and turn windows are a common choice where the outside of the glass cannot be reached, because the sash turns fully into the room for cleaning.
The tilt position gives ventilation with the sash still locked into the frame at the bottom, which suits ground-floor flats and rooms on busy streets.
- Trickle vents where specified
- Multi-point locking around the full sash perimeter
- Concealed or surface hinges depending on the system
- Inward-opening sash with tilt-first or turn-first gear

Getting a price
List every item on one schedule with sizes in millimetres, width first. Add the finish and options per line and we price each one.
Open a trade account to order at trade prices. We ask for your business details and how you expect to order, and agree terms when the account is set up.
Measuring tip
Tilt and turn sashes open into the room, so check that blinds, radiators, deep sills and furniture will clear the sash before you confirm the size.
Regulations for jobs in Lancaster
Replacement windows in England should meet Approved Document L: a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or a Window Energy Rating of band B. Approved Document F expects background ventilation to be no worse than before, which usually means trickle vents. Glazing in critical locations must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected under Approved Document K, which in practice usually means toughened or laminated safety glass. Rooms that need an escape route may need an escape window under Approved Document B. Replacing windows is notifiable building work: the installer self-certifies through a competent person scheme such as FENSA or Certass, or the work goes through building control.
