Regulations for jobs in Shepherds Bush
Replacement windows in England should meet Approved Document L: a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or a Window Energy Rating of band B. Approved Document F expects background ventilation to be no worse than before, which usually means trickle vents. Glazing in critical locations must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected under Approved Document K, which in practice usually means toughened or laminated safety glass. Rooms that need an escape route may need an escape window under Approved Document B. Replacing windows is notifiable building work: the installer self-certifies through a competent person scheme such as FENSA or Certass, or the work goes through building control.

uPVC tilt and turn windows in Shepherds Bush
Can I collect instead of having uPVC tilt and turn windows delivered to Shepherds Bush?
Orders are delivered rather than collected. If collection would help on a particular job, ask and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Is there a minimum order for Shepherds Bush?
You can order a single item. Delivery is priced per order, so combining jobs for Shepherds Bush usually works out better.
Do I need a trade account to order uPVC tilt and turn windows for a job in Shepherds Bush?
Yes, trade prices are for account holders. Applying is quick, and you can send your schedule for pricing while the account is set up.
Can tilt and turn windows be used as escape windows?
Often, yes, because the turned sash gives a large clear opening. Tell us the clear opening you need and the quote shows what the sash gives; your installer confirms it meets the escape requirement.
