uPVC flush sash windows for Braintree jobs

Woodgrain foils come in several shades of cream, white and colours. If you are matching existing windows on the same property, send a photo with your schedule and we will tell you which finish is closest.

Because the sash sits inside the frame rather than over it, flush sash windows need slightly different frame depths and fixing positions. We confirm the frame depth on the quote so you can plan the fixing before the windows arrive.

• Trickle vents concealed in the frame where specified
• Double glazed as standard, triple glazing available
• Woodgrain foils in cream, white and colours
• Matching run-through sashes for a balanced sightline

Regulations for jobs in Braintree

Replacement windows in England should meet Approved Document L: a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or a Window Energy Rating of band B. Approved Document F expects background ventilation to be no worse than before, which usually means trickle vents. Glazing in critical locations must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected under Approved Document K, which in practice usually means toughened or laminated safety glass. Rooms that need an escape route may need an escape window under Approved Document B. Replacing windows is notifiable building work: the installer self-certifies through a competent person scheme such as FENSA or Certass, or the work goes through building control.
