Trade double glazed sealed units in Dorchester

Double glazed sealed units for Dorchester jobs

Sealed units are made to the exact glass size, so the measurement is the size of the unit itself. When replacing a misted unit, measure the old unit once the beads are off.

Overall thickness has to match the frame rebate. A 28mm unit will not go into a frame glazed for 24mm, so check before you order.

• Spacer colours to match frames
• Low-E coated inner pane and argon gas fill
• Georgian bars between the panes
• Manufactured to BS EN 1279

Getting a price

Send your sizes as a schedule: one line per item with width, height, quantity and any options. A spreadsheet, a PDF or a clear photo of a handwritten list all work.

Open a trade account to order at trade prices. We ask for your business details and how you expect to order, and agree terms when the account is set up.

Measuring tip

Measure the glass, not the frame: remove the beads and measure the existing unit, or measure the rebate and deduct the glazing clearance. Give width first, then height, and the overall unit thickness.

Regulations for jobs in Dorchester

Under Approved Document K, glazing in critical locations (doors, and side panels within 300mm of a door, up to 1500mm above floor level; other glazing below 800mm) must break safely, be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected. Toughened and laminated safety glass are classified to BS EN 12600. Replacing only the glass in an existing frame is generally treated as a repair rather than notifiable work.
