Ordering laminated and acoustic glass for jobs in Moray
Laminated glass is also used as the inner pane of rooflights and roof lanterns so that broken glass does not fall into the room.
If laminated glass breaks, the interlayer holds the pieces in place, which is why it is used overhead and where people could fall against the glass.

Is laminated glass security glass?
Thicker laminates resist attack better. Formal security ratings apply to tested glass products, not a thickness alone.

An acoustic interlayer reduces noise more than standard laminated glass of the same thickness. The overall result also depends on the frame and how the window is fitted.
