Flat rooflights for Skelmersdale jobs
A flat rooflight should not be laid dead flat. Water needs to run off, so the upstand is built to a slight fall or the unit has one built in.
Walk-on and opening rooflights are different systems. If you need either, say so when you request a quote.
- Minimal or hidden aluminium frame
- Made to your upstand size
- Built-in fall or set on a sloped kerb for drainage
- Double or triple glazed

Regulations for jobs in Skelmersdale
Replacement rooflights and roof lanterns in England should meet a U-value of 2.2 W/m²K under Approved Document L. A lantern in a new extension is covered by the extension's own building regulations approval. Replacing a glazed or polycarbonate conservatory roof with a solid roof usually takes the conservatory out of the exemption, so building control approval is normally needed.

Do you deliver flat rooflights to Skelmersdale?
Yes. We deliver to sites and yards in Skelmersdale, and the delivery charge is shown on your quote before you order.
Can I collect instead of having flat rooflights delivered to Skelmersdale?
Orders are delivered rather than collected. If collection would help on a particular job, ask and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Why does a flat rooflight need a fall?
So rainwater runs off instead of sitting on the glass. The upstand or the unit provides the slope.
