Composite doors for Dumfries jobs
Handing is the most common mistake on door orders. State the hinge side as seen from outside and whether the door opens in or out, and we repeat it back on the quote.
For flats where the front door opens onto a common stair, the door may need to be fire-rated. Fire doors are a separate product and are not supplied as standard composite doors.
- Woodgrain-textured colours, with white inside as an option
- Letterplate, knocker, handles and spyhole as specified
- Matching side panels and toplights
- Supplied as a doorset with outer frame and threshold

For Dumfries, delivery is to your site, yard or unit. Tell us about any access limits, such as weight restrictions or narrow streets, so the right vehicle is booked. Postcode districts include DG1.

Measuring tip
Measure the structural opening width at the top, middle and bottom and the height on both sides; note which way the door opens and which side the hinges go.
Regulations for jobs in Dumfries
In Scotland, replacement doors in a house do not normally need a building warrant, but they must still meet the building standards in the Technical Handbooks, including energy and safety glazing. Check with the local authority for flats, listed buildings and conservation areas.

Composite doors in Dumfries
Can I collect instead of having composite doors delivered to Dumfries?
Orders are delivered rather than collected. If collection would help on a particular job, ask and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Which postcodes in Dumfries do you cover?
We deliver to all postcodes in and around Dumfries, including DG1.
Do you deliver composite doors to Dumfries?
Yes. We deliver to sites and yards in Dumfries, and the delivery charge is shown on your quote before you order.
Are your composite doors fire doors?
No. Standard composite doors are not fire-rated. If the door is a fire door, for example onto a common stair in a block of flats, it needs a certified fire doorset, which is a different product.
