Aluminium windows for Dundee jobs
Aluminium is stiffer than uPVC, so frames can be slimmer for the same window size, which is why it is often specified for extensions where the client wants as much glass as possible.
A polyamide thermal break separates the inner and outer parts of the frame, which is what lets aluminium windows meet modern thermal requirements.
- Double or triple glazed sealed units
- Trickle vents where specified
- Slim sightlines for larger glass areas
- Side-hung, top-hung, fixed and tilt and turn configurations

Regulations for jobs in Dundee
In Scotland the Building (Scotland) Regulations and the Technical Handbooks apply. Listed buildings and conservation areas have their own controls, so check with the local authority.
