Ordering aluminium bifold doors for jobs in Wiltshire
Flush thresholds give a level transition inside to outside but need a drainage detail outside. Tell us if you need one so the right threshold is supplied.
The opening above a bifold carries the weight, so the lintel must be level and stiff enough. Check this with the builder before the doors arrive.

Building regulations in England
Replacement external doors in England should meet a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K under Approved Document L. Glass in doors and side panels below 1500mm is a critical location under Approved Document K, so it must break safely (toughened or laminated to BS EN 12600), be robust or in small panes, or be permanently protected. Doors into new homes also need to meet Approved Document Q for security, which is usually shown with PAS 24. Replacing a door that is more than half glazed is notifiable building work, self-certified through a competent person scheme or approved by building control.
We do not start manufacturing until you have approved the order acknowledgement. It repeats each size, colour and opening direction so you can check it against your survey.

Aluminium bifold doors in Wiltshire: common questions
Do you supply aluminium bifold doors across all of Wiltshire?
Yes. We deliver throughout Wiltshire, and the charge for your postcode is shown on the quote.
Which building regulations apply to jobs in Wiltshire?
Wiltshire is in England, so the building regulations for England apply. The notes on this page summarise the main points for aluminium bifold doors.
How do I get trade prices for Wiltshire?
Request a quote with your sizes and postcode. Trade pricing applies once your account is open.
Do bifolds fold inward or outward?
Either. Outward folding is more common because it keeps the panels out of the room.
How many panels should a bifold door have?
That depends on the width and how you want the panels to stack. As a rough guide, each panel is up to about a metre wide; we will suggest a layout when you send the opening size.
