Ordering aluminium bifold doors for jobs in Forth Valley
Bifold doors are specified by overall width, number of panels and how they fold. Your quote shows the configuration so you can check it against the opening before production.
The opening above a bifold carries the weight, so the lintel must be level and stiff enough. Check this with the builder before the doors arrive.

Building regulations in Scotland
In Scotland, replacement doors in a house do not normally need a building warrant, but they must still meet the building standards in the Technical Handbooks, including energy and safety glazing. Check with the local authority for flats, listed buildings and conservation areas.
We do not start manufacturing until you have approved the order acknowledgement. It repeats each size, colour and opening direction so you can check it against your survey.

Aluminium bifold doors in Forth Valley: common questions
Do you supply aluminium bifold doors across all of Forth Valley?
Yes. We deliver throughout Forth Valley, and the charge for your postcode is shown on the quote.
Which building regulations apply to jobs in Forth Valley?
The rules for Scotland apply. You can specify aluminium bifold doors to suit, and the performance values are stated on your quote. Your installer or designer remains responsible for compliance and any notification.
How do I get trade prices for Forth Valley?
Request a quote with your sizes and postcode. Trade pricing applies once your account is open.
Do bifolds fold inward or outward?
Either. Outward folding is more common because it keeps the panels out of the room.
How many panels should a bifold door have?
That depends on the width and how you want the panels to stack. As a rough guide, each panel is up to about a metre wide; we will suggest a layout when you send the opening size.
