The opening above a bifold carries the weight, so the lintel must be level and stiff enough. Check this with the builder before the doors arrive.
A traffic door is a single panel that opens like a normal door, so the set does not have to be folded back just to step outside.
- Multi-point locking
- Two to seven panels, folding in or out

Aluminium bifold doors in St Andrews
Do I need a trade account to order aluminium bifold doors for a job in St Andrews?
Yes, trade prices are for account holders. Applying is quick, and you can send your schedule for pricing while the account is set up.
Can I collect instead of having aluminium bifold doors delivered to St Andrews?
Collection is not normally offered, because orders are delivered to site or yard. Ask when you order and we will say whether it can be arranged.
Is there a minimum order for St Andrews?
You can order a single item. Delivery is priced per order, so combining jobs for St Andrews usually works out better.
Do bifolds fold inward or outward?
Either. Outward folding is more common because it keeps the panels out of the room.
